The BOB-CAT Zero Turn Platform
The Big Picture
The three fundamental design aspects below form part of every BOB-CAT zero turn mower; from our entry level CRZ through to the Predator Pro series. This is not the end of the features and benefits, but defines the elements that put BOB-CAT in their own "Tier One" category and separates them from all the competition.
BOB-CAT's Three Design Fundamentals
- BOB-CAT build their mowers around the unique fabricated cutter deck with the raised deck lip, double wave baffles and extra large side discharge chute which allows the grass to be cut and moved out from underneath the deck extremely efficiently; which results in a better quality of finish, especially in demanding conditions with wire or clumping grasses
- BOBCAT mowers always build with a solid transmission, which is generally a higher specification; always with spin off oil filters for ease of servicing and product longevity.
- As a result of the above factors BOB-CAT can select their engines to balance the power requirements of the ground speed as well as the cutter deck train; generally using less horsepower which translates to much higher efficiency, less fuel and emissions
The brilliance of the BOB-CAT platform comes from over 40 years development in the American market. The company strives to keep common parts across the range, maintaining a simple design which is far easier to support from a spare parts perspective. This "Big Fleet" concept lowers the cost of ownership for professional operators & home owners alike.
The Sum of the Whole
There are so many small elements that make the BOB-CAT mower easy to own and operate, service and maintain as well as the safety and comfort for the operator. The sum of these features is a zero turn mower that is highly efficient, a pleasure to drive and steer, with comfort and a quality finish that far exceeds most people's expectations.
